And so freaking happy!! We're married!!!! It honestly is the best thing in the world. I don't know why everyone's not married. Being able to say, to your best friend, "Hey, let's go home. I'm tired." and having that "home" be the same place for both of you! Or falling asleep to a movie while cuddling, and not having to get up when the movie's over to go to your separate apartments. Being able to have dinner ready when Cody gets home from a long day of work. Going to our new ward and introducing ourselves as Shaylin and Cody Brunson, who just got married almost 3 weeks ago (:
Anyways, we've been reallllly super busy with school, work for Cody, and trying to get our house organized and all of our crap put away! Hopefully within the next month or so, we'll have it all finished and I can take pictures of our cute little home (:

Last post until I'm a "Mrs."!
Isn't that cool?!? This is most likely going to be the last post that I write for the next couple of weeks, which means that the next one I write, I will be -Mrs. Shaylin Brunson!!!
WE ARE GETTING MARRIED IN 57 HOURS!!
I'm just a little bit excited.. can you tell? Everything's either done or in the last stage of completion, family is arriving tomorrow night, we're decorating the church on Friday, and then the big day will FINALLY be here!!! Oh yeah, and Cody and I are both full time in school (Plus, Cody's enrolled in another school for his job.. he's busy!) and for some reason, marriage doesn't stop our due dates. So we're trying to work on our homework for this week and next, and we have 2 days to do it. Tonight and tomorrow. Am I stressing out? Heck yeah. Especially since one of our classes is English 2010, and we both SUCK in English classes!! Please pray for us.. We really need it!!
Anyways, peace out (: I'm gonna go get myself married!!

Rubber band guns!
If you live in Provo, or ever go there, there is this amazingly wonderful place called Blickenstaff's! It's like a real life Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium!! Anyways, of course Cody and I just have a hay-day when we go in there, and we have to hold on tight to our moneys so that they don't get spent on every single thing in there! But, (this might be weird that I'm just now posting about this, but I was looking through iPhoto and found the pictures!!) we did splurge back in November and we got ourselves two rubber-band guns, rubber-bands (of course), and a couple packs of army men!
We set the poor suckers up on the staircase, and we did quite a good job, if I do say so myself! (I think my favorite one was the guy on top of the wood railing!) Some of them were very easy targets, while we also gave ourselves some challenging ones as well!
Then... we let loose! And holy crap, it's way harder than we thought it was going to be! And because all of the rubberbands weren't exact circles, they'd go left, or right, or pretty much anywhere except where you aimed!
They actually were so difficult, that my cousin Randy came in and started offering his version of help, which were playing cards that he'd fling over in the general direction of the staircase.. I'm not too sure how helpful it really was, but it was definitely funny! Also, we scared the crap out of my aunt's two dogs!! Should have seen how fast they ran out of the room once they realized that rubberbands were flying all over the room!

Now, just some words of advice.. If you plan on getting a rubberband gun that allows you to load up to 5 or 6 rubberbands at a time, REMEMBER that some, or many of them will go out of turn, or possibly even backwards. Cody got himself in the face at least 2 or 3 times!! I think I got my leg a good 5 or 6 times, and almost hit the dogs once or twice on accident! So beware! Dress in war clothing!
Also, watch out for Cody and I.. We got pretty dang good, and we're quite the threat now!

King
One of Cody's really good friends growing up has been married for a couple of years, and when they found out that we're almost married, they got so excited to hang out with another fun couple! So we went over there the other day, had dinner and played Settlers of Catan with them (which, side note, I used to think that game was so boring, but now I LOVE IT!!) and just had a grand ol' time! Well, two days ago, they called us up and asked us if we wanted their king size bed for free, because their grandma is giving them a newer one.. UM, YES!!!!!! So, we moved it into our house today, and I got so excited that we went out and found a whole bed set for $50 at Walmart and our bed is now the first and only thing set up in our house.. Yes, we have our priorities straight (; I'll take pictures of the house once we move all in and get things settled and unpacked and (hopefully) cute!!
P.S. - We took our Bridals/Groomals today! Turned out way cute!!
P.S.S - We bought a super cheap ring from Walmart today to replace mine while it's getting soldered together, and it's actually really cute! I'm excited to wear it on my right hand when I get my ring back!! Way to go, Walmart for having such cute things!!

Just a few updates!
First of all, WE'RE GETTING MARRIED IN 17 DAYS!!!!!!! I'm way freaking excited, to say the least. And guess what else that means???!? In 18 days, we'll be on our cruise ship, headed to Mexico for a week!!!!! It's finally coming!!!
A few more progressions that have happened in the past week or so:
-We got our marriage license!!!
-Cody's wedding ring came in!!!!! It looks so manly and handsome on him! He's wearing it around to see if he's allergic to it, cause I guess he has a pretty bad metal allergy! (Also, it looks so dang good on him, I just don't really ever want him to take it off! ;)
-I made Cody's bowtie.. MADE IT! Meaning, we went and picked out fabric, found the pattern, came home and with the verbal guidance from Cody and his Mom (yes, Cody knows how to sew better than I do), I sewed the bowtie ALL BY MYSELF!!!!!!! And it looks freaking good! Come to the wedding to see it!! (:
-Cody got contacts!!! (Actually, this was like a month ago, but I never mentioned it!) Hello beautiful eyeballs!
-We have almost all the decorations bought, now just need to finish making/ putting them together!
-Cody's entire outfit is now complete, since we bought him sexy gray pants yesterday!
-I HAVE MY WEDDING JEWELRY!! It's so colorful and lovely(:
-I pick up my hopefully completed, beautiful dress tomorrow!! (PLEASE pray for me that it turned out beautiful!!)
-We're taking bridal pictures on Saturday! Hopefully the weather stays like this!!!
-I quit my job!! Goodbye Pizza Pie Cafe! 2 years and 3 months is wayyy too long to work at a pizza buffet!
-I think I have my wedding hairstyle figured out? I just need a hair flower now!
-We have the centerpieces figured out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HUUUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!!
-Also, Cody and I went on a date the other day to Kneaders.. holy delicious!!!! AND WE TOOK PICTURES! Two of them! From my phone! Haha, we'll get better at that.. I promise!
IT'S HAPPENING!! THINGS ARE GETTING FINISHED, AND TURNING OUT GREAT!!

Blessings just keep on coming!
I recently moved in with Cody's family up in Highland for convenience as Trina (Cody's Mom) has been helping me plan for the wedding, and so I don't have to drive to Provo every night at midnight. Cody also moved up here because he sold his contract and had nowhere else to go. ((But don't worry. We're not going to do anything dumb. We're chaperoned at all times, and we're not about to mess up now that it's less than a month away)) Anyways, we were all just sitting in the front room, decorating the Christmas tree when all of a sudden, someone knocks on the door very loudly. The whole family except me goes to the door to see who was there (because I don't know anyone in Highland, so of course it wouldn't be for me), and instead of a person, there was a huge present that said "Don't open until Christmas" and then a little envelope on top of it that said "Open Now" and they were both for Cody and I. So I walk over to the door, not knowing what to expect, and just joking around I said.. "It better not be anything special, cause I already have a headache and crying would make it worse!" Well, Cody opened the envelope to find $300 in cash! Yeah, the tears started flowing! How amazing is that?! And who knows that we're both living here? We just moved in at the beginning of this week, and didn't really even tell anyone! And on the big present, there was this little note..
I'm speechless. I don't know why we deserved this, but I am soo grateful for all of the sweet people in this world.
And, to top this day off, Cody's old employer who owes him a ton of money, called him up today and said he had $300 to pay him. So we got a total of $600 in cash to help out with everything.
We are loved, and it feels so wonderful (:

Do what's right, and you'll be blessed (:
I mentioned Cody's new job a while ago, where he's getting paid $12.80 an hour. That was doing excavating and drilling.. Well the last job that he was put on right before Thanksgiving was expected to last from the beginning of November all the way through January. Which would have been AWFUL!! He was in Delta for the first week (2 hours away from Provo) and then in Milford (3 hours away from Provo) for the next week! And on top of it, he had to be there for a week straight, and in Milford, he didn't have cell phone service!!! So every night he called me from his co-worker's phone for about 10 minutes, if I was lucky. So by the time Thanksgiving week came around, we were SOOOO excited to be able to see each other every single day, without work interrupting at all! Well, as fun as that was, when we got back and Cody was expecting to go to work the next day, his employer called and said that they didn't have any more work for him because he worked too fast on the last project. So day after day, hour after hour, Cody filled out so many applications for jobs he wanted, jobs that looked interesting, and jobs that he knew he'd at least get paid for. Well after two weeks of doing this, his stress level was out the window, and was so worried about paying for our wedding and supporting me and our new life together. We were praying our little brains out, but still no job. I'm still working at Pizza Pie Cafe, but not getting very many hours, so I was supporting us for a while on my $400 every two weeks, with a mere $0.36 in Cody's bank account :/ Alas, after the craziest job application that required a million extra things to be done then all the others, Cody got a job interview!! It was with a company called Ludvik Electric and he was interviewing for one of the apprenticeship positions. At the end of the interview, they told him to go into another room while they discussed, and after just a short while, they offered Cody the job and told him that he was one of the highest scoring interviewee's in the applicant pool and they wanted to make sure they secured him before he got another job!!!! So he went in two days later for orientation, and he is now an employee for Ludvik Electric!! He works from around 7-3 Monday through Friday, it's a 4 year apprenticeship, and here's the best part.. He starts out making $15.40 an hour, and after the 4 years, he'll be a certified Journeyman and can get AT LEAST $25 an hour!!!
And if that wasn't good enough, let's count all of our other blessings that have been given to us in the last week.
-Cody sold his contract!! He moves out tonight!
-I successfully finished this semester, and somehow managed to pass all of my classes!
-Mine and Cody's parents are super helping with paying for wedding stuff
-Cody's family offered their Great Grandma's house for us to live in after we get married!!
-And we're actually making progress in cleaning it!
-My good friend's aunt offered to make my bouquet!!
-My dress is almost done being altered/ having a bolero made for it!!
Plus all the other things that I've mentioned that we're getting for free, we know that these are all blessings because we're doing the right things in our lives (:
